The popular weeklong event is back again and mentions of Discovery’s Shark Week were strong enough to propel it into the Top 20, where it settled at #15. This debut is on par with the 2014 premiere when it came in at #16 during the week of August 8th. An early exit may be in the future as Shark Week was only able to nibble on the rankings for one week in each of the past two years.

CBS continues to dominates the Top 10 as this week the network claimed six of the ten spots. NCIS reentered the Top 10 at #4 after spending last week at #11.

After a two week absence, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy is back in the TOMAmeter at #19, while The Bachelorette/Bachelor is back at #13 after just missing the final cut last week.

Speaking of just missing the cut, Soccer/FIFA World Cup fell one mention short of qualifying for the Top 20 with USA’s Mr. Robot right on its heels. Dropping out for the first time in two week’s was TNT’s The Last Ship, which endured a nine week run following its season one premiere last summer.

As previously mentioned, CBS is leading the pack as the most represented network with seven programs while ABC claims second place for itself with three programs in the rankings this week.

New programs in our Top 20: ABC’s The Bachelorette/Bachelor (#13) and Grey’s Anatomy (#19) as well as Discovery’s Shark Week (#15).

No longer in our Top 20 this week: TNT’s The Last Ship (previously #14), CW’s Arrow (previously #18) and ABC’s Scandal (previously #20).
