Our Top 5 shows have held strong week-to-week – in particular, AMC’s The Walking Dead maintained its #1 position for the twelfth straight week, while CBS’ The Big Bang Theory kept second place for nine consecutive weeks.
FX’s Sons of Anarchy aired its finale last week helping it maintain the third place spot for the second week in a row.
Some significant movers: FX’s American Horror Story moved up four spots to 7th place. Orange is the New Black (Netflix) jumped up five spots to #9.
Law and Order (#16), NFL (#18), and Fox’s Family Guy (#20) have all re-entered the Top 20 this week.
On the flip side, thanks to winter hiatuses, Fox’s Gotham (#11) and ABC’s Scandal (#12) dropped five and four places respectively. ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder fell out of the rankings entirely. Other shows that dropped out of our rankings this week include Fox’s Sleepy Hollow and NBC’s Peter Pan Live.
CBS was the most represented network this week, with four shows in the Top 20. ABC and the CW tied for second with three shows a piece.
Each week, Ipsos MediaCT TV Dailies seeks to find out what television shows have people talking. Collecting over 5,000 unaided responses among persons ages 13-64, TV Dailies produces a top of mind awareness meter (TOMAmeter) that details the 20 most spontaneously mentioned television shows.
Here are your TOMAmeter results for December 8-14.
