Netflix’s Orange is the New Black has leapfrogged HBO’s Game of Thrones and is now our most mentioned program according to our respondents. This marks the first time an online program has ever reached the top spot in our rankings.
After a week in unfamiliar territory, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory has moved up four places to #4 and is followed by two other CBS programs, Extant (no movement) and Under the Dome (down two places).
FX’s recently debuted vampire-horror drama, The Strain, joined the Top 20 for the first time this week. As this week’s tenth most mentioned program, The Strain sits in front of NBC’s America’s Got Talent which moved up four places to #11.
Mentions of the FIFA World Cup (#9) continue to be strong enough to keep the tournament in the Top 20 despite concluding over a week ago. Not faring as well this week is AMC’s Breaking Bad, which fell eight places down to #19 and is on the brink of falling out of the Top 20 altogether.
It’s a new week but the same results as CBS continues to have the most programs in the Top 20. With seven programs last week, and six programs this week, no other network comes close to CBS. HBO has three of the Top 20 most mentioned programs, while AMC, FOX and NBC each had two programs respectively.

No longer in our Top 20 this week: TNT’s Falling Skies (previously #19) and CBS’ Criminal Minds (#18).
