ABC’s Dancing with the Stars kicked off another season with its competitors taking the floor for the first time last week. Mentions of the competition show, which is in its 20th season, were strong enough to claim the #13 spot.
Another proverbial dance debuts in our TOMAmeter this week as March Madness/NCAA Basketball Tournament tipped off with much suspense in the early going. The three week tournament to crown college basketball’s best team came in at #14, which is up from last year’s first week (#19).
FOX’s Gotham continues into its month long hiatus and mentions of the program have slipped as a result. After a five spot drop, Gotham is now the 12th most mentioned program which is its worst placement since the second to last week of 2014, when it placed 13th.
AMC’s Better Call Saul has fallen out of the Top 20 since it debuted back in February and the new zombie drama from CW, iZombie, just missed out on making the final ranking. Better Call Saul may return to the Top 20 with the first season coming to a close on the first Monday of April.
For the third straight week, CBS was the most represented network with five of the most mentioned programs. ABC lost two programs in the Top 20 this week and only gained one, resulting in a tie with FOX as the second most represented network this week.
